The D50 was my first real step into photography. The camera had some great reviews and was more in line with my price range than the D70.
Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18 – 55mm f/3.5 – 5.6G ED This one came as part of the D50 kit so it wasn’t one that was picked up by choice, but it has proven to be a great lens. I typically shoot with this one, but hope to pick up a straight 50mm this year. (BROKEN)
Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18 – 55mm f/3.5 – 5.6G ED VR
This lens replaced the one above after a fall destroyed the original. Works great just like the original, but I have found little use for the vibration reduction feature.
Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED
While purchasing the D50 kit, I also picked up this zoom lens. It’s a great short range lens, but I really wish I had purchased one with vibration reduction as well as something that zooms to 300 or 400mm. Looks like I have some additional saving to do this year as well.
Nikon AF-S DX-Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G
This lens was a Christmas present for my wife. It’s our go to lens for just about any occasion and takes great pictures.

Nikon Coolpix S51
I wanted a smaller camera to carry around and after reading reviews the S51 was the camera. It fits in a pocket or a purse and is much easier to take along than the bag that contains the D50.
Targus SLR Camera Sling
This is an excellent case that gives me quick access to the camera and lens.

Apple iPhone Next
I love my iPhone 6S, but I’m looking forward to the iPhone 7(S).
Nikon SB-600 AF Speedlight
The built in flash is nice, but can be limiting when shooting longer distance shots.
Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR
I am looking to replace the two lenses that I have now and consolidate.
Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR
While a 200mm zoom is nice, I have found it limiting. A 300mm zoom would be so much nicer.
